2 – Read Matthew 5:38-48
Jesus continues his surprising teachings
by telling us to turn the other cheek to one who hits us and to love our
enemies and pray for those who persecute us. He says that in this we copy God.
Reflection Questions: How do you usually respond to
attacks? What do you think of Jesus’ instructions?
Prayer: Dear God, keep me from knee-jerk
reactions. Give me the peace-full mind of Christ. Amen.
